I request that all those coming to the Fourth not be alarmed to see Minazuki floating past on a circuit of the grounds.  I realize that his appearance is intimidating to many, but he is of a gentle nature and will bring no harm to anyone.  Showing fear of him is unhelpful to both yourself and to him.  Please refrain from visible negative reactions if possible.

I've seen him Captain Unohana, but haven't gotten close. Is... is what's going on normal? Other people have seen theirs and... Well, it's hard to tell what passes for normal now.

No, Yamada-san, I am afraid that this is not normal. We are as yet uncertain of what is causing the disturbance with the zanpakutou, but try to remain as calm about the situation as you are able. Panic will only lead to rash actions.

Minazuki is very big, but he's not that frightening. From far away, at least. Some of the others I've seen... Um. I'm sure they're as nice as Minazuki. Maybe. From further away.

It rather seems so; he manifested without being summoned and is unable at this point to return. And if you've been having troubles as well, then whatever has happened would not be related to Seireitei itself . . .

Unable... Oh boy. I know that Kuukaku's got the same problem. I was just chalking it up to inexperience on her part, though. And I thought mine wouldn't return because... well, it's a very headstrong thing, that zanpakutou of mine.

But if you can't have your zanpakutou return, Unohana-taichou, then I believe we've got a very serious problem on our hands. Is this happening to a lot of people? And are the zanpakutous saying anything?

I do not know of the exact numbers, but many have reported this problem with their zanpakutou. As to my knowledge, none of the zanpakutou spirits are aware of why this is happening, Minazuki included. They only say that they feel some sort of disconnect with their world.

The problem is indeed very serious. We are in the process of launching an official investigation into the phenomenom.

Much the same as his released form. I have never been certain what particular feature of him disturbs people the most: the sea-creature nature of his body, the fact that he has only one eye, the sharp teeth, or perhaps just his sheer size. Many have been unnecessarily frightened of him in the past.
