As many of you are aware, Inoue Orihime was found murdered in her home earlier today. I have confirmed the truth of this myself when she was brought to the Fourth for preparation before her burial.

I know that this loss is difficult for many of us to take; she was a friend to several. Any of my people who need to take some time to pull yourselves together, I will think no less of you. But Inoue-san would not want us to stop functioning for her sake. We must continue forward.

I still can't believe it, even though I saw her body myself. She was so young. I just don't know what to think.

I found it difficult to accept, myself, but I could find nothing to dispute the truth. Unfortunately, youth is no protection from such things. Even though we wish that it was.

Our world is emptier without her, but continues all the same. All we can do now is keep her in our hearts and minds as life goes on. She brought much joy, and perhaps in time, this will be what we remember rather than how she left.
